Spooky Skate event flier graphic with cat and pumpkin
The following was shared with CVFSC members via email on Monday, October 12:

Hey CVFSC Members -
We are excited to launch our every other week (bi-weekly) news email! We heard that too many emails can be overwhelming, but too few, and members don’t have the information they need in a timely way. Please share your thoughts and ideas with us directly about our communications and anything else club-related at cascadevalleyfsc@yahoo.com. Click read more below for CVFSC events, CVFSC spirit wear, and ways to volunteer!
CVFSC Events
  • Spooky Skate
    • Save the date: Friday, October 28, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
    • We will have a party room with treats, refreshments and FREE ICE (small rink). Grab your costume and skates, and have a great time!
    • Want to volunteer? Stay tuned for a separate email about how to sign up!
  • Sno-King Renton Holiday Exhibition
    • Save the date: Friday, December 16
    • You or your skater will be hearing more from coaches about the exhibition. Count on the CVFSC to have some winter treats and beverages.

CVFSC Spirit Wear
Do you, or your skater, want some CVFSC-branded items? We encourage CVFSC skaters and families of skaters to show support for the club and its community by donning spirit wear. Current spirit wear offerings can be purchased through PersonaliTeez. We have jackets, vests, beanies, blankets and totes!

Ways to Volunteer
Every member has a commitment to volunteer at club events, competitions and other activities. Ways to volunteer are below, along with some upcoming opportunities. Look out for emails with links to sign up, or email cascadevalleyfsc@yahoo.com to find out more.

  • Monthly Board Meetings – Attend our hour-long meeting. Upcoming dates include October 17, November 14, and December 12 at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Details will be emailed a week before each meeting.
  • Test Sessions – You can help set up, clean up, check in skaters, or be a runner.
  • Events – we always need help when we put on events or partner with Sno-King Renton to support an exhibition. Volunteer roles include event prep, set up and clean up.

Sincerely,
Cascade Valley Figure Skating Club
