Awards & Recognition

Congratulations to all our Skaters!

There are many things to celebrate in figure skating — first time on the ice, newly-landed jumps, mastery of difficult spins, tests passed, and more. At Cascade Valley Figure Skating Club, we are proud whenever our skaters reach milestones in their skating journeys.

Congratulations to all CVFSC skaters who have worked hard to achieve their skating goals!

Testing

The U.S. Figure Skating test structure is comprised of five disciplines. Tests determine a skater's competition level, with each one more difficult than the last. Once a skater completes every test in a specific discipline, they earn the distinction of U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist. Learn more about testing at CVFSC on the Testing page.

Axel Club!

Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating members who land their Axel are encouraged to apply to the Axel Club. Inductees will receive an official Axel Club membership certificate, a recognition gift, listing on the Axel Club Hall of Fame page on Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating websites and the opportunity to be featured in Axel Club marketing materials.

Members who landed their Axel more than one year ago are encouraged to join the Axel Emeritus Club, a recognition program celebrating skaters who could successfully land the Axel jump at one point in time. To join, skaters must be either an active member of Learn to Skate USA or current full member of U.S. Figure Skating and name a witness who can verify that the skater could successfully execute an Axel.

CVFSC members who are members of the Axel Club are encouraged to contact the club at [email protected] if they would like their names to be listed on this webpage.
