About the Board
The Cascade Valley Figure Skating Club (CVFSC) Board of Directors currently meets virtually the second Sunday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. unless there is a conflict or extra meetings are deemed necessary to accomplish club business. When possible, in-person meetings are held at Sno-King Renton ice arena. Please view our Events page for the full meeting schedule.
All members of the club are welcome to attend these meetings and will receive volunteer hour credit for their attendance. Requests for monthly minutes can be made to [email protected].

Join the Board
Joining the Board is a great way get more involved in the CVFSC community. As a Board member, you will also gain knowledge about the sport of figure skating, have the opportunity to attend trainings, and build resume experience. The Board welcomes individuals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets, all which contribute to a healthy club.

Board Positions
Board members are expected to regularly attend meetings and complete assigned duties in good faith.
President: The President shall preside over meetings of the Board, and subject to the Board’s control, shall supervise all of the business of the Board, and execute documents on behalf of the Board. The President shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to them by the Board from time to time.
Vice-President: In the event of the death of the President or their inability to act, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, except as may be limited by resolution of the Board, with all the powers of and subject to all the restrictions upon the President. The Vice President shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to them by the President or by the Board.
Secretary: The Secretary shall ensure that accurate minutes are kept of meetings of the members and the Board as well as any committees of the Board that maintain minutes. The Secretary shall ensure that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of these Bylaws or as required by law. The Secretary shall also perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to them by the President or the Board. In the absence of the Secretary, an Assistant Secretary may perform the duties of the Secretary.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall oversee the financial operations of the Board and shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to them by the President or the Board. In the absence of the Treasurer, an Assistant Treasurer may perform the duties of the Treasurer. If requested by the Board, the Treasurer shall give a bond for the faithful discharge of their duties in such amount and with such surety or sureties as the Board may determine.
Member-At-Large: Such board members will serve on the board with voting rights on amendments and proposals. Members-At-Large may chair special committees and will help out where needed. These positions are excellent for individuals just starting on the board as it will give them an opportunity to learn the ropes and prepare to step up into an Executive Board position in future years.
